What's a deductible?
For a covered medical expense, the Deductible is the portion of your medical bill that is your responsibility. The Deductible will first be subtracted from the total medical bill. The remaining amount will then be multiplied by the coinsurance (if any) to arrive at the amount which must be paid by the insurer and the amount which remains the responsibility of the insured. An "annual" deductible is payable only ONCE per plan year. A "per occurrence" deductible is payable for each separate accident or illness. Please compare Plans carefully, or call us for assistance.
A co-pay is a fixed amount you pay for a health care service, usually when you receive the service. The amount can vary by the type of service. You may also have a co-pay when you get a prescription filled.
What are co-pays?
Insurance quotes are calculated using a variety of factors depending on preexisting conditions, size of your group, and much more. You can use the quote calculator when ordering a plan to see how much your insurance will be.
